3.8 n/a impala vs ford edge

coming home this morning and 2 lane road goes down to one lane and i was at the red light and this newer ford edge goes into the lane that merges. so anyways light goes green we both take off and we are side by side all the way to the end(60mph or lil less), so I hit my brakes and let him in and he keeps it to the floor and is gone lols.
I have a bad trans, slips in bangs into first from a stop usually and hardshifts after awhile so it is slipping, but even if I had my new trans in the car I think the ford would of taken me on topend lol, not sure what engine it had since they have so many different engines over the years, but it had a 6 speed auto pretty sure.

I know n/a is slow blah blah etc etc but it was fun none the less. thought id share

also raced a gp gt weeks ago on same stretch of road, but took it by a car or so. wasnt really worth mentioning at the time lol.

LOL, I was next to an Edge at a light one night. The light turned green and I took off at normal pace but Edge was "racing" so I floored it for the fun of it. As soon as supercharger was heard the Edge backed off the throttle. LOL
 
Maybe he thought that he had "lost his edge" on that one, eh?, lol...

Anyone run a new 2015 edge sport with the 2.7L turbo yet? I see reported ratings around 315hp on that one.
 
I have no idea what engine it had but it looked brand spanking new and i wiki checked from 08+ and anyhwere from 258hp to lil over 300hp With a 6spd auto they def got some pep for a 4000 pound suv.
Either way he must of been a little surprised when a old ass impala stayed side by side lol.
I have a gen v supercharger sitting in the back seat, too bad it will never go be installed on my car lol
 


He probably didn't want to spill his latte' on the way to pick up food from the whole foods store while his wife was b*tching at him to "slow down, don't race that @sshole, are you trying to kill us?", lol.. All my cars are N/A as well and I still will try and shut the door on someone that wants to go even if I loose. Might as well make em work for it. Slow vs. Slow :th_laugh-lol3:

310 rated horses, 350 torque.

I figured they'd make some stupid power with a tune and some downpipes, probably north of 400 torque, easy.
 
I call BS. I got stuck in a '10 Edge Rental a few years back, and it would give a stock L67 all it wanted, and would soundly rip an N/A 3800 it's ass.
