3.5 Pulley WITH supporting mods

JCG's-GTP

Just curious here...I have everything in Sig including Plog and 2.5 DP. I want to put a 3.5 pulley on now. Problem is, I have NOONE around me that is able or will tune my car. And being on here for 3 months I know tuning is the main deal. But with my supporting mods shouldn't a 3.5 be safe to run? It would be pointless to drop a ton of money into a tuner since I have no idea what I would be doing. Now ZZP says with the PCM I have now a 3.5 will be ok but getting I'm geeing our forums opinion since thats what counts. Keep in mind this is an 04 GTP. Thanks ppl :th_sign-pontiacs:

if you know anyone with a scanner , get it scanned . from what i have heard as long as you are getting very little to no KR you should be fine with a 3.5 but i dont know for sure . that is what i am going to do though .

You never can say with certainty but since you have a gen V that 3.5 is equivalent to about a 3.4 on a gen III. I've also heard the 04+ cars don't take to mods as well. I have not heard great things about the ZZP PCMs either. People seem to get more KR issues with them, but I have no personal experience with their tune. At any rate, I don't think you've got enough to run a 3.5. I think you'd need to add rockers, but it is tough to say. Ideally, you'd get a modular pulley system and a few pulleys in the appropriate range. Then with a scanner slowly step down to smaller pulleys until you get any KR, then back off to the last KR free pulley. But that costs some money to have all of that handy. I'd be conservative and do a 3.6 and scan. :th_twocents:
