Ok so im working on geting setup for a 3.4.. but i need to make sure.. ive got a 3" DP comin w/ some plugs, and i got a make shift cold air which i plan on upgrading.. am i capable of getting a 3.4 for now.. or just go w/ a 3.5?

Invest in a Tuner, and learn to tune first if you haven't. Just slapping a down pipe, and cold air on your car will probably work, for a 3.4 pulley, but you need to tune for that setup to be safe. IMO

Not the best advice for the majority of the community.

Go to one of the vendors (Intense/ZZP/etc.) and purchase a programmed PCM. Would be best to get it before the pulley but if not you should be fine anyways.

so i should just throw down the extra 100$ and get a tuner too? i was going to buy the DP and 3.4 and plugs and throw everything on but the pulley till i get a PCM tune.

I was also going to go for the aluminized Dp because when i get my return i was just gonna throw down and get some headers, maybe a cam. and ported blower and intake manifold.

A tuner is going to cost you more than $100.

Ya a pcm is the cheapest option, but I think the $200 extra for the tuner is well worth it IMO.

who needs a tuner? who really wants to learn how to tune?

eh, i dont want one. its must easier to get a decently good tune and then just let me adjust it on my own with my AFC and happy knob. just buy a preprogrammed pcm.
