2010 SHO 12 sec 1/4

thats crazy fast considering the weight of that pig if i remember right what around 4000 lbs i think. that ecoboost v6 is impressive.

that taurus more than likely has a much nicer interior, ride quality, and performance than your car. how can you say you would not drive it?

X2 i used to own a 99 ford SHO taurus.. hence "FoSHO99"... That car easily outperformed my 01 gtp in handling, interior and badass stock sound system. The only reason why I kept the GTP over it was because there was hardly any aftermarket performance available for the SHO. An off the shelf tune ran $500... It looks like ford did a great job on the new SHO.

for the price tag i sure as hell wouldnt buy it but i have owned a few tauruses
main problem was there transmissions failing

i was looking for a 94-95 sho when i bought my gtp due to the fact it was a stick

The new taurus actually looks good and has decent performance ford did that one right

I talked to a guy that works for ford and had to test it. He said he didnt like the center console. It was to close to gas pedal and if you have long legs there is no room to move them.

Id like to see one gutted except the drivers seat and I wonder how direct injection twin turbo would react to nitrous on a 1/4 mile track. :th_biggrin2: Just to see how it would do on a diet and a bottle.

those are awesome. gotta love the twim turbos. and im glad to see Ford stepping up there interiors. for a long time American cars have been behind on the interior game, but lately I think we're coming back.

Car is not stock. Stock 2010's run mid 13s stock. Still DAMN impressive.

I would dump my regal in heartbeat for a new SHO. You guys saying its still a ford.

Ford has had much better quality, fit and finish for many years now.

My last complaint is the cost. Around 40k+ I rather buy benz or get a nice GTP/GS spend not a 10th of the 40k and make a much faster L67 :) then turn around and buy a nice daily

It seems like a great car, but I agree about the cost. Most people spending that much on a car are looking for a badge with a little more cachet than the blue oval.

Even with the price tag I doubt they will have a problem selling them. Like some others said a barely used GT500 can be had for just over 30K so I think the price is about 10K too much. A new mustang GT and a healthy dose of aftermarket parts would run circles around that for less. As for a full size sedan I'd much rather have a E55 benz their around 430hp and supercharged.
