2008 grand prix Shifting Light Out?

I have a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix and I noticed that at night I'm having trouble seeing the PRND321 letters next to the shifter because they aren't lighting up.

I read somewhere its because a bulb is out and you have to take out the center console to get to it and replace it.

I'm wondering if this is true, and if so how to actually take the center console out.
