2008 Grand Prix 3.8 heat loss

My heater started blowing cool air last fall,changed thermostat flushed cooling system and heater core new coolent.Heater worked fine until it went in the body shop this month and sat for 2 weeks.Now when I drive it heater blows warm air and sometimes after you park for awhile it blows cool air,then if you shut it off for awhile it will blow warm air again.Thanks for any input on this.
 


Sounds like the blending door. If you look around the forum you will find instructions on how to test that. If I recall you have to remove it move the flap and put it back in, but that's the extreme case. Do you have the digital controls or analog?

Hey Scottydoggs thanks for the quick reply.I did flush the heater core back in the fall and that fixed the heat loss. Got any ideas why it getting air in it.
 
no idea why it happens, but most of the time its got air in the core. some cars it seems to happen more often then others. or not at all ever.
