(2008 GP) Stick Shift light is out??

you know where is has to tell you what gear your in... Well the light is just out anybody know what might be the cause and how to fix it ? i did change my stereo a while back you think that might of had somthing to do with it??

Funny, they post a question, it's their first post and never respond to it so that we can try to help them out. If the light is out that lights up the PRND Letters on the center console below the Gear Shifter then that is a 194 bulb that has burned out. You have to take off the entire center console from the car, replace the bulb and then put the center console back on.
 
Your reply will certainly help me out. I have the same issue with my 2008 GP. The only problem I'm having trouble getting the center console off. I removed 4 bolts at the bottom but it still won't come off. It's like there are some clips still holding it on but I'm afraid to pry on it for fear of snapping the plastic. Any suggestions?
