I am a new owner of a 2007 gxp that has a chattering like noise coming from the trans I believe
Once it downshifts to first gear as I stop it goes away
Help ?
Any ideas?
Supposedly the car had a new converter and shift kit installed right before I got the car
I took the surpenteen belt off to make sure nothing there was the noise
I have stopped each wheel seperatly and once the trans shifts into a higher gear the noise starts its not the motor or the hub bearings
It must be in the trans but in not sure what else to try
The noise does not imediatly start
30 sec or so it starts
It sounds a lot like a idler pulley bearing to me
The noise is coming from the passenger side
