Greetings,
The transmission in my 06 Grad Prix started doing a couple funny things a couple months ago. First I was on a fairly long trip on a hot day and I noticed the tranny shifting hard into 3rd gear. It did this for a short while, an hour or so, and then the problem went away. The tranny then acted fine for a month or so and then on another trip, not nearly as long, I noticed it didn't want to shift into OD. Then on another short trip it would shift into OD but then kick back down into a lower gear on a slight pull. That was not normal. Anyway, it does these things at any given time and then it will be fine for a while. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

One more thing, the check engine light did come on during at least one of the instances so I took it to a local shop today and they say the failure code indicated a problem with a speed sensor in the transmission. What will I get into if this is the problem? Thanks again......
