2006 pontiac grand prx gt issues

I have a lightly modded 2006 Pontiac grand prix gt, and recently its started to where the rpms wont drop if I let off the accelerator, they will hang up for a bit then slowly drop down, also at idle theres a slight shudder, almost feels like the car is trying to go, any ideas?

if its that then why does it shift so well? I will give you some more info, I recently had a map sensor check engine light that caused reduced engine power, and loss of traction control. I unplugged the battery and now the cel is gone... could it still be bad even if the check engine light is gone and be causing my A/F ratio to be screwed up. If I unplug my maf the car dies which never happened before

you mean MAF? the one in the intake tube to the TB? if you got a maf code either the maf is bad, the wires to the maf are bad, or you blew a fuse that powers the maf.

un hooking the battery resets the pcm, aka clears the codes, it will set the light again soon enough if theres a issue. sounds like you didnt do anything to fix the sensor. like replace it even.

if you meant maf, buy a used one, much cheaper and your car will like it better then a new aftermarket maf.

no I literally mean map sensor. on supercharged cars theres two map sensors, one for barometric pressure (aka outside air pressure) and one for vacuum pressure (in the vacuum lines) on my car both these sensors are on a rail on the back of the motor by the firewall

one with the vac line is the map, the other is a baro. it gets no vac line. if you mixed them up with the vac line that could be the issue. did you replace it yet?

no I got two of them from some retard on ebay and they don't work. they arrived with no part number or anything, just a part number on the box.

no I did the right one, I just don't think theyre for the right vin code, I need them for vin 4, but I think they sent me vin 2 sensors, for the naturally aspirated model

It's still a good idea to clean the TB, they can cause all sorts of issues if they're gummed up...

If you do, I have a whole laundry list of tips to keep you from messing things up, they're finicky little bastards.

lol well apparently. I have my battery unplugged right now trying to let it all reset. warstryker13 did you get my message about not understanding how to send the pictures.
