2006 Pontiac Grand Prix

I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, that I'm looking to lower. I've seen around and I like the stance of a 1.7 all around , but I have a dilemma. It seems that all the springs were replaced with some that aren't the original. I believe they are MONROE. I measured my gxp and my brothers gxp that has the original blistens, and they measure exactly the same. So which would you recommend ? I also have a question with the alignment ? Do I have to align After lowering , and if so , I've heard that people use a camber bolt kit, is that necessary? I also saw a gxp lowered 2" in front and 1.5" in rear and it looked perfect , but I don't see that option on canuck motorsports page. Thanks for any input.

It should not matter that the struts were replaced, you can just replace the springs and add anti pogo washer to make it work. The struts may not last as long because they are monroe's but I don't see them failing quickly.

Yes you need an alignment after you lower the car. Camber bolts for 1.5ish inches of drop shouldn't be needed, you can just slot the struts some if you feel the need too.
