2006 GXP special edition radio fuse keeps blowing

A lady at my work has a 2006 GXP special edition. She said she came out one morning and her radio wasn't working. She checked the fuse and it was blown. She replaced the fuse and as soon as she put it in, it blew right away again. Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what it could be?

special edition? can you please elaborate on this? If special you mean nav it is more rare to find in gp but not special.

It's a special edition grand prix. I didn't know if that made any difference as far as the radio goes.

wish there was a special edition GXP, but yeah if its not nave just a 6 disc or single. I have a spare if your gonna need one.

but back to your issue, check to see if its monsoon or not, normally you will find a amp under the rear deck tray. look for it in the trunk there. Ive seen those go out and blow fuses. I actually diagnosed one about 6 months back. over everything unplug the radio up front and put a new fuse in. see if it pops, if it does still pop it prolly the amp.

Thanks for the info. I'll have her check. Sorry for the confusion on the vehicle. I know nothing about that generation. I own a 99 so I don't pay attention to what the new generation has and what their "special editions" are called. I just know it has the lip kit as well as the wheels that I almost never see on it and I knew it was some sort of special edition. Just wasn't sure if it was also a GXP. Regardless, I didn't know that mattered much anyway.
