2006 Grand Prix - Pedal height

So, I recently bought an '06 GP, and here's a weird thing about it: the brake pedal is significantly higher than the accelerator pedal. Is it normal, or should I get it serviced?
 


Without a picture or seeing if the pedal was messed with in any way I couldn't tell you.

The gas pedal of just about every car does sit further back than the brake pedal.
 
ive never seen even brake and gas pedals, the gas pedal is always on the firewall, the brake needs to travel to the fire wall.

only other pedal thats ever even with the brake is a clutch pedal. cause it also has to go to the firewall.
