2006 grand prix gt supercharged audio question

2006 grand prix gt

i understand it has a monsoon system (which is most hated.)

all i need to know is the correct solution to finding the 12v remote wire on stock head unit without getting a switch or messing with other fuses (if possible).

I dont even know if there is even such a thing. Ive read too many conflicting stories on this.

I just want to install my new amp and subs so if anyone can please help?

last but not least. would it just be easier to get a new head unit rather attempting the stock?

im in the middle of wiring and need to know which route to take.

Well you have a few options

-you can do what I did before I went completely aftermarket and run a inline converter (I think that's what it's called) through the rear 6x9 green/blk wire I believe is where I tapped into it. Allowing you to run the RCA for the amp. The remote wire I ran to the passenger fuse box.. Just pick a constant 12v. Obviously run the amp kit like you normally would.

Or

-Go aftermarket. Your going to need obviously the headunit as well as the GM04 module and if you plan on maintaining the steering wheel controls.. That's another module your going to need.

Choice is yours.
