2006 Grand Prix GT and Base model Horsepower

I might be wrong here, but the 2006 Grand Prix GT had the dual Exhaust outlets and the Base model single, but both models still had an identical HP rating?
There was no increase in HP for the GT with what appears to be a freer flowing exhaust over the Base model in '06?

Thanks.

04-05 models GT was just a trim level, 06-07 GT's are supercharged and have 260 HP and the base model is 200 HP

Yeah, 04-05 GT's were the "base" model. 06-07 GT's were the same as 04-05 GTP's which had the dual exhaust, etc.

And the dual exhaust isn't "freer flowing." Its just for looks. Its single exhaust all the way to the back then splits into two. If anything, the single exhaust is freer flowing.

I may have the year wrong then. When I was shopping for a GP, I saw a Base model (single exhaust) and a GT model (Dual) but the GT was not Supercharged. Maybe the GT was an
05 then. Both had the 3800 Series III only. So the non-supercharged GT (with dual outlets) had no benefit of HP over the base model with single? Thx.

Lets get to the point here, there is no real "true dual exhaust".

They only have DUEL EXIT exhaust, all it does is split into 2 pipes after the gas tank and thats it.

It does not make any more free flowing.

You can do true duals with pacesetter headers, wouldn't be worth it in the slightest, but possible.
