2006 GP- 6 speakers vs 9 speakers

Hi everyone!

2006 base model GP, with many options though.
I'm trying to find out if I have the 6 speaker or 9 speaker set up. I count 2 in both front doors, and two larger speakers in the rear. I read that each of the rear speakers count as 2 speakers. If my math is correct that's 8 speakers. Where is this so called 9th speaker? I've read about one in the dash? Where abouts would it be? I don't seem to have any sound coming from anywhere in the dash and don't see the speaker. Just want to make sure I know which setup I have so I get the right speaker for one of my blown speakers in my front door.

I'm seeing pictures, of what looks like factory, a speaker that sticks right out in top of the dash. Mine does not have that. Does that mean that it's just a 6 speaker system?

Correct.

The count for the 9 speaker system is 1 dash, 2 each front door, 4 rear (The rears have an x-bracket on the 6x9 for a 2" mid woofer).
