2006 blower motor issue: TSB?

TexasGP

About to replace the blower motor module and fan in a 2006 GP.
Though other searching, came across the "TSB" for adding a 330uF capacitor for 2004 models, to prevent windshield wiper motor surge from affecting the module.
Does or should this also be used on a 2006, to help protect the blower resistor module from getting damaged again?
If so, are the wiring colors the same to install the capacitor to? I have a capacitor on hand and will put it in if it is still needed.

:)

Well, went ahead and replaced the blower motor and resistor module today.
The module wasn't too difficult to remove, just used a long flat scredriver to pry apart the plastic rivets, then used some sheet-metal screws in the unused bosses to secure the new unit in place.
Then I went ahead and performed the 'capacitor TSB', to help protect the module; installed 330uF capacitor between power and ground going to the module.
The fan/blower motor was easy to swap out as well.

Works perfectly.

..symptoms were fan would not shut off after car was turned off, and would not vary much in speed, never getting much past medium speed even on high. Then the motor quit altigether a couple days ago as well.

Obtained the resistor module from RockAuto for a decent price.
:D
