2006 3.8 block with a top swap Gen 3?

I was wondering if A. My intense PCM would be messed up if I used the block from an '06, as the engine in my 2000 GP popped. B. Would I be able to put the L67 balancer on it to run both belts? All I'm looking for is a block, and I found a whole engine that needs head gaskets for $250. Will it work?

are you already top swapped? if so its fine. swap any engine sensors over that dont match the cars plugs and off to the races you go.

I was about to top swap the old engine in the 2000, but it blew before I started. Could I just swap the wiring harness and stuff over to the '06 block then?

you can. you just swap the block in. but if your intense pcm is not for a top swap you'll want to get that set up.

its what i just i did pretty much. used a l36 block in place of my l67 block. its a bottom swap in this case cause my car came supercharged.

i also had to get a top swap tune.

I have a top swap tune from intense already, but thanks for the help Scotty. Hopefully she'll be up and running this month.

it will all work like you planned for the l36 in your car. its just another n/a bottom end.

its easier to build the engine on a stand too vs doing the top swap in the car. so its kinda a win as long as it has to come out.

get the new block all set up with your top swap parts and drop it back in. good time to replace all the gaskets if its oiled up mess already.

Only difference is the 06 l26 will be an aluminium oil pan so you need to grind it a little to get the 2000 engine mount on it..everything else bolts up..I have a l26 bottom end and a l67 upper.
