2005 GT 5 second delay for lock/unlock with keyfob

We just purchased a 2005 Grand Prix GT, and when using the keyfob to lock/unlock the doors, you have to hold the keyfob button down approx 5 seconds for the locks to actuate.

I also have a 1998 GTP and there is no delay when pressing the lock/unlock buttons on the keyfob.

I searched through the 2005 manual and noticed some DIC programming steps for delays when doors were already open, but did not see anything about the general case. Has anyone else seen this issue?

check the DIC while in park, hit the i (info) button. go to delayed locking, see whats selected.
