I picked up a 2005 Base model last night for my son. ~89K miles and is in pretty good shape.
I have a 2007 for myself, and I always set the DIC to show the date instead of the odometer. I went to do the same for this new-to-me 2005 and all it displayed when I hit the button with the big "i" were a bunch of dashes with a space between them. I went through and set the date/year and it displayed that fine but after a minute or so it defaulted back to the screen where there are just a bunch of dashes. It looks like "--------- --". I can scroll through the setup options just fine. It's not really a big deal...just annoying. I set it to display the odometer for now.
Has anyone ever seen this before? If so, what was the fix?
It has an aftermarket head unit in it if that would make any difference. I wouldn't think it would, but electronics can be weird.
