Hi, I got hit (I think by a snowplow but it was a hit and run) late in the night. I can see that the driver's side trailing arm is bent, pulling the wheel inward a bit.
I've been calling around (Thanks to the poster who put up the parts list some time ago), and found it at the dealer for $70.95. They called it the Knuckle Trailing Arm, and verified that it is from the rear knuckle pointing toward the front of the vehicle, as opposed to going across the vehicle.
A salvage yard has one for $60, and I found another yard that has one for $30. The $30 guy says it's from a 90-something Intrigue (I think he said '96), but said that that particular part fits BUNCHES of models.
I'd prefer the $30 way out. Is what he's saying accurate, and do you think that buying a salvage part (as long as that area hasn't been wrecked) okay versus a new part?
Thanks for any help.
