2004+ Grand Prix Owners - Looking for NICE custom system pics

I am looking for some pictures and details on some custom set ups in 04+ Grand Prixs. Also looking for details on your build, just some general input.

Has anyone done a nice false floor setup? Seen a few pics of rear door panels with 5.25s or 6.5s installed. Anyone build custom kick panels? Would like to see some pics - in progress & final.

Just looking for ideas for a build I want to do over the next few months.

Custom kick panels are a little difficult in the grand prix. Our interior isn't that fun to deal with when looking at solid install principles. What kind of ideas are you after? Do you care about sound or just looks? They typically aren't one in the same :/

I kind of figured no on the Kicks but have kind of thought maybe trying to throw in a set of 5.25s down there and eliminating the emergency brake on the driver side because that would be in the way.

When I do my build Im going for sound Quality and good Imaging.

Just want to see some nice custom setups and things people have done in their own builds.

best bet in our vehicle is to get a nice tweet and mid-range up high and on axis. Find some subs that install up front, stereo subs, playing high so that they help out with mid-bass. That's the best advice I have. Throw in some t/a and you should have a damn good system on your hands.

Is this one of those prefab boxes or did you build this? Looks pretty nice.

The subs and box used to be my auto sounds top installers personal set. the box was made by him, it is 3/4" MDF. Here is what it looks like.

Then I just made a cardboard template to put across the front to fill the gaps. So the front is custom made.

I was thinking of doing it in that side space as well. But for the deal I got on subs and amp I couldnt pass it up.

You can see what I did to make the box if you look in the albums found in my profile. If you have any questions feel free to pm. I ditched some ideas I had and thinking about horns, 8" mids, and some big subs :)

But we'll see...these days not much comes to fruition

Hey I800 could I possibly get the dimensions for your sub enclosure? That's exactly where I've been planning on putting mine. Also, where'd you get the carpet? The color looks like it matches perfectly.

hrmmm. That's kind of tough? It has a few different shapes and turns. I used a piece of cardboard...trimmed it until it fit exactly how I wanted. That was my template for the cut. Does that help?
