2004 Grand Prix GT Passenger Mirror ?

Hello everyone,I'm new here..This past Friday I purchased a dandy one owner 2004 Grand Prix GT with 69,314 miles on it..It took lots of searching to find one this nice only 51 miles from home..Its dirty in the picture because we live out in the country on some roads that arent so great..

Anyways just a few weeks ago the passenger mirror was stolen from it..They took all of it down to the motor which still works....The shell is still perfect..Would it be possible to buy a new after market mirror from ebay or a salvage yard mirror and pull the missing parts from it and install in this mirror? I would love to not have to pull the mirror assembly off or to have to have another shell painted..Thanks..

Yeah you could, just have to find the glass.

I guess I'm not explaining things right....I can buy a new complete mirror assembly with glass from ebay for $36 but the shell will be painted black...Can all the parts from the new mirror be moved to the original red shell which is perfect...That would save the cost of a paint job...

That I don't know. If you can see inside the old mirror and see if there are bolts holding parts in place, then yeah it can be done.

I'm not sure if any of the parts are plastic welded or have rivets holding them in place. You might end up breaking stuff taking them apart. I've never done this, maybe someone else have.
