2004 Grand Prix 33,000 miles What Maintenance should be Done ?

I am far from a car guru and could use the help. I have no Records of any work done to the car. Car was never driven in the winter seems pretty nice. I am guessing things to consider would be? Coolant flush ? Transmission flush ? Timing Belt ?..... Thanks for the help

If the coolant is 13 years old, flush that stuff out of there. 13 year old plastic intake gasket sitting in 13 year old coolant could be changed out, I would think highly of that one to prevent any future problems.

Transmission fluid should be fine, you can change it if you want as it's a 75,000-100,000 mile fluid.

There is no timing belt, they run a single timing chain.

I would flush coolant out and put in green. Also change tranny fluid and filter and put a shift kit in. And then drive it a while to see what other bugs may show up for such little use per year.

Suspension rebuild (struts/mounts on all 4, can probably reuse the springs), check motor and trans. mounts, engine drive belt, remove and clean the TB, clean the MAF, new air filter, clean all battery terminals and grounds, flush/fill/bleed the brake system, replace LIM gaskets with updated aluminum ones, and coolant elbows all come to mind.

TB cleaning on 04+ is a little more complicated than it should be, the shaft doesn't have any form of seal, so any liquid inside the body will find its way into the electric motor housing and cause problems. If a brush won't get it all and you have to use a spray, you'll have to take the plastic cover off and dry out the entire TB for at least a day before plugging it back in. It's weird and dumb, but that'll save you from having to buy a new TB.
