2004 grand prix 1/2 din radio?

i am looking to get a aftermarket head unit(1/2 din size) but not all fit because some are deeper then others.6 inch deep is what fits.

The tech. at crutchfield told me that some 1/2 din units are 6.25 inches deep.
My question is has anybody modified the depth of the radio pocket to fit a deeper radio?

i asked this question because a few head units that i like are the deeper ones.

are you talking about a 1.5 DIN radio?

I know in my car I could easily modify it to fit.

Unsure about your car.

no 1 din.i 04 grand prix.The depth may not be deep enough not the height or width.
