2004 gp sunroof not opening all the way like it used to.

My kid and I noticed that the sunroof does not open as much as it used to. It opens about half way now and we thought for sure it opened a couple inches more than what it is now.

I greased it up and it slides nice but again we suspect it does not open like it used to.

How many inches from front does yours open up?

What would cause it not to open fully? Position sensor? If so how to adjust. Can resetting computer help?

Update

When I close the sunroof completely it creaks a bit as it is stripping a gear tooth or two. I did this 50 times and now the sunroof works 90% of when I got the car. I hope it's not damaging something. It actually vents now which it hasn't in months.

Hope this helps someone but I really don't know what happened to fix other than what I said.
