2004 GP on the track

Hello, two new Grand Prix owners, Ray (in the hat) and Jim, looking to race this 2004 GT1 on a 1/3 mile dirt oval at Brighton Speedway next summer.

It won't be pretty but it should be a lot of fun. We are planning on doing as much our selves as possible, it may be cheaper not doing jobs twice but what fun would that be.

Once we get started Ill open a thread and post pics.

Cheers Jim

Thanks, this will be a budget racer, along the line of LeMons. The class has a claiming rule, within 15 minutes of the race ending anyone can offer to buy your car for $600.

I picked up the car for $400, expect to sell a few part while stripping it back. It looks like I'll be a regular at the U-Pick.

dezebe1, I really like the build you have put together, quite the transformation.

It's been a while, finished the second nights racing, still lots to work on.

i was given poll in the heat finished second, a link to the final is below, started inside second row finished 7 of 16. Just managed to stay in the top half would like to be in the top 5 next time out.

A friend spliced the footage together, going look for a second camera to shoot a front/rear view for Labour Day weekend.

The exhaust was run out the right side but torn off the hanger and folded in half behind the rear Cat. Really noticed the power drop after that point.

Cheers Jim
