2004 GP body mileage & motor swap

I have been looking at a 2004 grand Prix. The guy isn't sure what model it is. My guess is the gt2 because it has heated leather seats (it's not a gtp). Any way of telling this? But here's the real question. The body has 242xxx miles on it and he claims it has a different motor in it with 130xxx on it. Is there body problems I should be looking for with this amount of miles? And is there any way to tell for sure that it is a different motor? Thanks in advance for the help!

I'd check the rear strut towers/mounts for rust, the rear rocker panels, the standard stuff. As far as the motor, no really good way to tell. I would be curious on why it was swapped though. These motors (when properly maintained) will go well beyond 300K with no issues. I'd be the LIM gaskets let go on it and it ate a bearing. Check this one to see if the LIM gasket has been changed. Look where the head meets the LIM and see if you a see a black edge. If so, then you need to have the replaced. Might help on the price as well.

Also, I'd drive it and let it get fully hot and see how the trans. shifts. If it hasn't been maintained with that mileage on it there could be issues.
