A few pics of my car. A couple weeks ago, I took the cheapest way out of fender gap. Never heard of anyone doing it, probably because it's stupid. Spring clamps. I like the look, and I wont go back, so I'll be lowering it properly with B&Gs and AGXs next weekend, I hope.

This is before the drop:

This is how she sits now.

That's it for now. Once the new suspension is put together, I'll post more when I have time.

Thanks for the compliments! I'll get inside ones eventually, don't have any right now. Mods are basic: u-bend delete, mps(3.8, 3.4), custom intake, 2.5" catback w/res delete and Magnaflow mufflers, and a 180* tstat. Inside I have a single-din pioneer head unit and 12" shallow-mount sub, xplod 6x9s(they're the only decent ones I've heard) and JVC 5.25s. Everything else is stock.

I agree, in some crazy circumstance, imagine the clamp let go, where the hell would that clamp fly to & what would be in its path? Brake line? Good thing you are going to fix it the right way, soon I hope.

Yeah, I agree it's no way to roll for any amount of time. They've got nuts on both sides of the brackets, and I made sure it was good and tight. I'm just waiting on 2 struts to get here before I can do it right, they should be in Mon/Tues. I hardly drive it during the week, and I check on em every day to make sure they're still snug. One more weekend and it'll all be replaced properly. Can't wait for that B&G stance and getting rid of the pogo-bounce. I want to show it locally after a good detailing and I get my front license vanity cover painted the right shade of white, replace the rear window sticker(peeling bad), and touch up some chips on my front end. She's in great shape otherwise, though. Love this car. :th_biggrin2:

Yay pulley envy and no flow mods :)

Let that poor thing breathe!

Well I just put my TV up for sale so I can afford an alignment. If I get enough for it, I'll look into some SDs. Im just really tight financially. If I didnt already need suspension I wouldn't have thought twice about AGXs. But I do need it, so I decided to get it done right. Headers are good, but I'm at 4600ft above sea level, so the pulley I have is equivalent to about a 3.6. I have 1-2* KR at WOT, so she isn't breathing too bad. She does have a hard time up hills here, but I imagine most cars do.

Quick update: AGX and B&Gs are in. I'm trying to find the thread about rolling the fenders, will try to do that tomorrow. Happy with it otherwise, I'll post pics when my phone stops being a power-hungry pig and actually has a decent charge so I can upload something. Only five things left on my want/need list: install tie rod ends, get it aligned, acquire headers, a good tune(still running stock) and maybe a shift kit. I'm hoping for 14.8ish in the 1/4mi next time I go to the track, which would put me right around 13.9-14.1 at sea level. After that, my mods would pretty much be a custom K&N intake, headers, 3.4 mps, AL104s, and a good tune. I'm hoping for around 250whp. I dunno if that's attainable, but I'd enjoy the heck out of it.

It's easy to roll the fenders. Get a heat gun and a rubber mallet and just take your time to roll the fender lip.

Anybody have an idea what my car would be worth? 98k miles, good paint, good interior, LE package, and just the minor bolt-ons I've mentioned above. Looking for a ballpark so I know what to ask when I sell/trade it. I'm thinking $5.5k would be reasonable, please comment if that's off. Reasons I'm thinking about it: been wanting a V8 since I almost got a T/A instead of this 6 yrs ago. I didn't have credit history, lived at home, and dad said no way to the 6-spd.
I'm on my own now, time to make big-boy decisions before I get married next year. The idle has been acting up lately, and my boost gauge will sometimes blip full/off after it's running for awhile. LOW OIL came on the other day, had to top it off...that's never happened before, and I can smell something like oil burning when I put it down merging onto the highway. I had a metal LIM gasket put in at around 50k, and that cost me over $500, so I'm not interested in going through another one. With stuff like this happening all the time from age and whatever, I'd rather put that extra money into something that raises my blood pressure when I turn the key. Supercharged 3800s are nice for people who want a low-budget sleeper, but I like GM LS* engines better.
Not 100% sure it will go up for sale soon, but I wanna be ready if a good opportunity comes.

I would say $5.5k would be about reasonable for the car since its got low miles. With the issues youre having however, it might not sell for that. Diagnose the issues, fix if possible, and then sell. This car should last forever - with proper maintenance and servicing. I wouldnt look to get any more that $5.5k for it. Hows the frame? Lots of rust or no? Love the look of the car tho! Good job on the mods! Im hoping to get mine to that point. Just dont have the budget right now...
