damn we are 1 of 8000 people with limited edition grand prixs i dont feel so special now more or should i say so limited no more.

well, consider that 5000 are GTPs.... do you know how many Shelby GT500s there are a year?... about 5000, so it's on par. It's still a small number, especially considering 80,000 are produced in one year.

cool! you still probably paid way less than me when I got my 50k white one last year... I got ripped off... oh well.

welcome to the club!

Also, I know that the orignal letter from Pontiac states that the wheels where aluminum polished torque stars. When I questioned them, they were not able to find any greater detail, and nothing that said that they came with the 18 spoke wheels that everyone has on thier 2003 Limited Editions as well as the 40th Anniversary Special Editions.

i thought the LE came with the torque stars.. anyone know production numbers for the special edition? for the life of me i cant find anything

7,222 units

Breakdown for the specific model is as follows

GT Coupe
967 units

GT Sedan
2,871 units

GTP Coupe
1,128 units

GTP Sedan
2,256 units

i thought the LE came with the torque stars..

I've seen it both ways on the internet. However, for the cars I have actually seen, or the ones on here, it's been the "multi-spoke" wheel, not the torque stars.

When I asked the Pontiac representative about the wheels, she didn't have any other information...

There are about 5-7 LE's in my area including mine and the majority have multisple I think there is only 1 with the torque stars
