There is a reason engines with plastic LIM gaskets that rot are looked down upon.

I was of the understanding that this affected alot of gm vehicles that used the new dexcool coolant. I know that it is a big problem in the 4.3 engines..

^^It does...most anything with Dexcool and LIM gaskets IMO.
