I have a problem with my gp. I had my head gasket replaced and a full tune up and fuel treatment cleaner about 6 months ago. I recently had my car start to misfire bad. I took it in to a local shop they cleaned out my fuel rail and said two of my plugs were bad. I had those replaced ran fine according to them. Went to pick it up and started it and misfired again and service engine soon light is flashing at me. I gave it some gas about up to 3000 rpm. seemed to smooth out. drove it home fine but now it is doing the same thing again. It will do this randomly. Lasts about 1 to 5 minutes. If I give it gas while driving more than 3000 rpm it kicks back and smooths out. As soon as you let off though it goes back to misfiring. Shop told me to replace my plugs again. Has anyone else had this problem or ideas on what it could be. I am taking it to another shop to get my fuel pump tested in a few days.

Plugs last for more than a cupple weeks. You do not need to replace them again.

Check the coil packs. Usually they tend to act up and give you misfires in the upper rpm's and not lower but it's a possibility.

Get the code read if you have not already. Let us know what it is.

I know plugs are supposed to last up to 100k. I checked it with my code reader and the codes are 1. p0203 fuel injector circuit condition - injector number 3 and code p0303 cylinder misfire detected cylinder 3. could the fuel system cleaner they used have caused the problem with my injector.
