Pretty new to all this my transmission is shot just wondering if there are any others that are easily swapable that will work or if rebuild is basically the only way to go

regal gs trannys will work. best to find one the same year as yours tho.

you need to make sure its a HD tranny or it wont have the same gears. (from a supercharged car) wrong gears and the pcm cant work it, unless it tuned for a gear change.
 
Any grand prix gtp or regal gs trans from 97-02 would fit, the 4T65e-HD. Though I think 00-02 is 100% direct, I think pre 00 the trans line fittings are different, but thats a easy swap.
