2002 GTP HUD Wind shield Replacement Help

Boosted02GTP

I have a 2002 GTP 2dr with the HUD. I needed a new wind shield and did not want to pay $200-500 for a new one installed. Went to the local pick n' pull and got a wind shield off a 2002 GTP 4dr. with the HUD.

Before I tear mine out will this one be a direct replacement?

I'm sorry to say this but I have to trade her in :(. After a long list of repairs and other headaches I want buy a new car with double the gas mileage and not pay a penny more monthly. I'm going with the Cruze Eco and with a 2011 leftover I can get one as low as $18,900 with a few options. It has a turbo 1.4L so maybe after a E85 tune, more boost, and a few other little things It might be as fast as my GTP.

Thank you for all your help. I need to fix a few things to get top dollar on my trade in. My car is extremely clean, any ideas of trade-in value?

I pulled a windshield from my pullapart out of a 4DR(don't recall the year) and put in my 2000 GT I had that was a 2dr with no problems.

Here's a list of glass part numbers confirming its the same for 2dr and 4dr models that's in our "how to" section: http://www.grandprixforums.net/glass_part_numbers.php

I've never traded a car in but I know kbb.com has trade in values...

I rented a 2011 Cruz LT with the 1.4L Turbo 6sp auto. It was quick off the line due to it's extremely low first gear. I hit 20 mph if that. At about 50 mph and above, about any car would be able to pass it cause it was so slow. And the blow off valve sounded like plastic flapping around in the dash. Don't even get me started on the acceleration hesitation. Hit gas, now count 1, 2, ok, we're moving now. Accelerating from a standstill, it didn't seem to do it too bad, but from a 2 mph roll on up, it was really bad.

As for the windshield glass. I did a rough measurement of my 98 2 dr GTP and 98 4dr Regal and they're about the same. The 2 dr might just be at less of a pitch. I remember a bunch of times I could run the 2 dr GTP in rain and the water would just roll up and over the windshield. With the 4dr Regal in the same amount of rain, I would need to have the wipers on.
