2002 GTP engine swap

Hey guys, I'm about to swap out my 2002 gtp engine for a 1998 engine. Is there any differences in these 2? the original engine started smoking a cloud of White smoke and the body has 140k on it, found a 98 gtp engine complete minus alternator and a/c with 82K miles on it. Did notice oil pan was dented on the 98 but i already got the gaskets and will swap the 02 oil pan over...But the real question is if i need to swap anything else from the 02 engine or vise versa. thanks for your input
 


Thats what i thought..But when i pulled spark plug number 1 the whole electrode was gone!! and when i remove the oil cap pure white smoke is pouring out..could that still be a LIM?
 
I was going to start to remove engine tomorrow. I will first remove the LIM and check it doesn't hurt and if its good i'm going to go ahead with removal.
