2002 Grand Prix Horn Not Working

Hello Grand Prix People! The horn on my 2002 does not work. No sound when pressing the steering wheel or by pressing lock twice on keyfob. My relay and fuse are good, but the relay does NOT click when horn button is pressed. I have even replaced the relay and still no go. Please let me know if you guys can help me out. Thank you.

Test the horn itself by running 12 volts directly to it with a jumper wire. If silence, replace horn. If honk, start checking continuity of wiring to find the short. If the horn hasn't worked since you got the car, or if it quit after a wreck or for example a turn signal combo switch replacement... closely inspect the wire behind the driver's airbag. The tiny stud breaks off that black plastic tube if a guy gets too rough with it. That will make the horn not work because no switch contact.

How do I access the horn directly? I think someone mentioned in a different thread that the horn in the 2002 Grand Prix is located behind the bumper. I would rather not remove the bumper. Would it be possible to test the horn by removing the relay and feed 12V to the socket?

yes but thats not isolating the horn itself. Bumper cover R&I is a short task. It does require bending down though.

Horn is on the right side behind the bumper cover. For testing, you can get at it by removing the headlight assembly.
