2002 Grand Prix and First time Pontiac owner!

Hey guys

I've got a 2002 and I just bought it. Sadly before it was bought I had a 1998 dodge Ram that I did a lot of work on and totaled 2 weeks ago. Luckily I'm alive and my trucks not :(.

SO I bought this car. I like the looks of pontiacs but this ones the SE so it's not as impressive as I'd like it to be. Moneys tight (insurance didn't cover my truck...) and I want to make this car unique and not so basic.

I'm planning on De-Badging it but don't know what to do after that. I have rusted rocker panels and was thinking of painting them black all the way to the wheels. Any ideas for the completely new pontiac owner?

Also how-to's would be nice. I know how to work on fords and what not but don't want to mess this one up

I will post pictures soon.

Don't fret Roger the Dodge Lover.

You hit the right place. There's tons of ideas etc you can find by browsing the members ride section. Many times I find new ideas walking through a JY and heck..it's free to mock it up there. :th_winking: That' keesp the cost down and the appeal up.

Drive that puppy til you are back on your feet and it's good.

As for working on the engine/trans.
If you are used to a Ford: Remove the extra connectors (you know the every 8 inches in a wire connection points, yeah) and you have a GM wiring harness. Skip the crazy all over vacuum lines, make them straight forward and simple, then remove all the excessive plumbing and 2" pieces of hose etc. That's a GM.

If you are looking at most Dodges pre 2002ish, add a crap ton of technology and you have a GM.

In a nutshell, they aren't bad to work on.

@Fivefingerdeathpunch I'm in coon rapids but drive around often. (Rogers is the better place to be)

@Billboost I want to for sure keep the pontiac. I love the idea of it being white cause it seems clean. I might hit the junkyard when it warms up and pull off a front bumper. Is there a difference between SE and GT bumpers?

Any suggestions on paint schemes? I was thinking white and black but it seems cliche. What I wouldn't mind is White and like a dark grey..

::EDIT:: Question. I want to get the headlights replaced. The fog is inside the headlight and I just want to replace them. good ideas on pairs that work OEM approved?
