I see this problem quite a bit lately. I will put the key in and crank it but it won't start. If I release the key (not off, but just release it) and try again it starts fine. I can't seem to find any pattern to it as it does not do it every time but it is happening more often. Any ideas where to start looking?

I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel regulator, mass air flow sensor and Idle Control Module. These were done while looking for another problem that turned out to be a defective Mass Air Flow Sensor. I learned that New does not equal Good. :)

BTW, the car has 200K miles on it, a newly rebuilt transmission and I love my car. I will drive this as long as I can.

So what youre saying is that it doesnt start on the first turn of the key? As in you have to hold it down for a little longer to get it to start? I would check the injector o rings could be a fuel pressure leak down.

fuel pressure regulator i just had this problem. with car running pull vacuum line off a youll prolly smell or see gas if you do, theres your problem get another fuel pressure regulator:th_thumbsup-wink:
