2001 GTP Exhaust Muffler Size

I am going to get some 40 Seires mufflers and I was wondering if you all could tell me what the Inlet and Outlet size is for stock Pipes right now that is all that I have the dough for I am going to reuse the same tips they are in really good shape still. I have tried searching and someone thought that they were 2.5 Inch but noone ever confirmed. I just want ot be sure before I spend the Cash also our exhaust come in and out the center correct

so when you buy mufflers do you buy 2.5 so they will fit over or do you buy 2.25 and that is takin in to account already by flowmaster
