2001 Grand Prix security?

My 2001 Grand Prix GT will no longer keep running. I drove it to work this morning and the security light came on. When I went out to start it for lunch the car would start, run for a few seconds, and shut off. The security light also came on during this time. What are my options?

Just had this same thing happen to me last night. I had to turn the key to the on position, leave it for 10 minutes or until the security light turns off, then turn the key off, take the key out, put the key back in and try and start it.
