I really love my car love to race but money is always a problem lol not from the rich side sorry but my car only has 68,000 miles on it so its got a bunch of kick left in it and im ready to race so what are some cheap upgrades i could get that would help over all performance. thanks

Gotta pay to play. Not trying to discourage you, but you'll find trying to cheap out won't get you very far. Keep this in mind...

Fast.........Cheap.........Reliable..... You only get to choose two.

Not to many options if you dont have the $$. You could make youself a fenderwell intake it will give you just a little more power. Its in the How-To section i believe.

^ x2 on that

Also for the intake, check out TDC Racings intake, I bought one and it is amazing, its huge, and fit nicely in my fender and is better than anything else on the market, and it will most likely be better than anything homemade. best of all, it's cheaper than everything else on the market. A homemade kit can cost you anywhere from $40-$80 in the range. Might as well get a SS one from TDC for a little extra.

Well as for the intake that is something i will do, but when i ask for cheap upgades i mean list the cheapest cause i do have money but not a crap load. After my mom gave me the GT she went and bought a 2008 Trailblazer LT and only took a 4000 dollar loan on the 28,000 dollar suv so thats why my family is hurting money wise. But there retarded for doing that and now im helping them so thats why the money is a problem.

Ok i spent a total of 40$ altogether and have my own cold air intake it sounds kool i'll admit but no big power increase notice so what now?

grab either a old DSM or VW gti 1.8T turbo, out of a junk yard for 20 bucks, rebuild them for 40, then build a rear mount turbo kit, really simple piping, if you get the DSM turbo it is internally wastegated so even easier piping then just spend 200 on a nice BOV and 150 on a boost controller then run it at 2-5 psi till you can afford a tune and youll have a fun little car

you want to talk about BS:th_chairshot::th_soapbox1: I LOST SOOOOOOOO MUCH TORQUE AND HORSEPOWER ITS PATHETIC OMFG I LOST TO A PERSON I USUALLY WHIP THE **** OUT OF

what?:th_wtf:

Yeah ummm...you must be fresh out of elementary school because I can't understand a damn thing you are saying.

First you are asking for cheap mods. Intake is one. People on here take the time out of their day to try and help you out. Then you go and gripe about how it HURT your car. PLEASE.

Go sell the GT and buy a DSM with a turbo already on it stock. That way I won't have to hear you complain about a great mod like an intake for these 3800 series motors, or about that "CAR" that you usually WHIP THE S**T OUT OF:th_yawning:

some people's kids:th_shakinghead2:

^X2. I have no idea what Goany is saying, or why apparantly a CAI made him "loose to a car he whips the **** out of!" :p

yea man, GP GTs generally don't whip the s*** out of anything. They may beat cars by a fender or 2 but don't expect 6+ car lengths on much else than a Model T
