2001 GP GT Fog Lights not working

hey guys I just bought this 2001 Grand prix gt.

I am new to the pontiac scene and have a question as to why the fog lights aren't working.

I switch on the headlights and flip the fog light switch but the FL switch does not illuminate. the little spot for the LED does not light up.

I checked the fuse, it was fine.

Any suggestions?

Are the lights coming on anyway? I've had two GPs and the little indicator has never worked, but the fog lights still come on.

A bit annoying, really.....
 
On the 98, the cables had broken/melted where they plug in to the bulbs, you might want to check those. And, dumb question, did you change the bulbs?
 
I checked the connector and it looks intact and it is plugged in. but nope I didn't try a new bulb. I'll pick one up tomorrow for the hell of it to see.

could it be a bad fog light switch?
 


Not likely the switch. Very good possibility that both the bulbs are just burnt out. They are only halogen. I used to loose one about every 6 months or so before I switched to HID fogs. And the little yellow LED on my switch has never worked either. Kinda pisses me off, lol.
 
i have somewhat of the same problem i put HID in and now the fogs wont come on at all but the little light comes on on the switch...any ideas?
