2000 suburban brake line

The brake line from the ABS module to the rear axle on my 2000 suburban has developed a leak. It looks to be about 1-2 ft behind the module.

Got to love salt and rust.

Has anyone replaced one? Looks like a PIA to change. Any tips or tricks??

Look to see if you can find a fully-assembled replacement with correct bends and fittings pre-installed.

I chased this dragon on my GTP that was rotting underneath from too much winter driving, and actually bought lines w/ correct fittings from NAPA (matched bends myself), and they worked great for the last 2-3yrs I drove it.

Picked up a set of pre bent stainless steel lines. Will start the project today.

Completed the brake line surgery in about 4 hours today.

You can tell they put these together with the body off the frame. 15 min job then.

Not a bad time for that. I've replaced all of the hard lines on my boss' 98 F150 so I know exactly how hard/time consuming that can be. I really wanted to remove the bed so I could get the rear line done but I fought through it and got it routed correctly in the end, was just such a PITA. I hate rust!

BTW, that 2K 'Burb looks really clean for that year. If it's got body rust it hides it well.

It is pretty rusty. Rockers gone and I use a HD sheet of vinyl painted to match over the big holes in the front of the rear tires. You can see some orange. Needs a touch up after the car wash.
