2000 GTP info center in a 2000 GT?

Hi I was wondering if the information center out of a 2000 GTP would work in a 2000 GT? Will it just plug in? and will it be able to tell me my millage or will it take some computer stuff?

Yes, but you would want one from a GT, not a GTP, because there is a difference between the two in the button on the right that disables/enables traction control. The GT one should say 'TRAC', while a GTP says 'TCS'. I heard if you get the wrong one, it will still work, but the traction control light will be on while the system is off and vice-versa. You can get any 98-03 GT one and have it work. (Mine is from a 98)

Yes it shows fuel economy, if that's what you meant. All it requires is the wire to the connector under the dash (assuming your car doesn't have the harness hiding behind the old DIC). Just follow the link posted above, it has everything you need.

You can rewire the GTP TCS light to work the same as the GT TRAC light.

x2 that its pretty simple. and the boost wont show up either.

I will be putting pillar gauges in after my top swap so I don't want the boost meter. I'll go with a gt

The boost will only show up if you top swap regardless if it is a GTP or GT DIC.
