2000 gtp FP resistor issue

So im having issues with my 2000 gtp stalling and the fp resistor bypass by bending the pin has been working but only sometimes. I have replaced the resistor before and ran fine for months but then broke again. so I bent the pin on the relay and it has been working mostly but it still stalls out on the road. im getting a new resistor but I don't think that is the only issue.... any suggestions?

Yes it has just started doing that the past week or so the tach will drop to 0 but it will still run until I turn it off. I will check the sensor tommorow

No I usually have to pull out the FP speed relay and bend the pin back then it will turn over but not run then put the relay back in with the pin bent and it will run fine

theres no checking it, you need to change it. thats your sign its f ed up. dropped tach.

your pump is fine i bet. the fact you take the relay out and put it back in has nothing to do with it re starting, you just wasted some time and it started again. most call the tow truck and the tow truck driver cranks it and it fires right up for them. is a time deal. some times they fire right back up, then it gets to be 15 minutes, then as it gets let go it may not fire up for a week, then one day just fire up.

The tach at zero and car running, is usually a crank sensor.

shame you aren't in Jersey.. Scotty could flip that out in 15min.
