2000 GTP factory alarm question

I have a 2000 GTP and whenever I set my car alarm there is no horn, and only the front headlight flash on just curious if this is normal? I know with some other GM's on youtube you can change this. It's just annoying not knowing that my car is locked without walking all the way around it.

Check your owner's manual. I believe that is a setting you can select. It will show you how to program the options you want.

i believe the first time you press the keyfob the lights flash for a "certain security setting," press again the horn should beep and lights flash.

you can change the settings on it so that it does or does not use the horn.
