2000 GT leaking tranny fluid

Hello, I am starting this new project. First thing I want to do is fix the tranny fluid leak. It appears it is coming from where it goes in the radiator. So I'm guessing a new fitting should fix it. Is there a trick to getting to the fitting the easiest way? Anything I should know about it? If I go thru the bottom I have the "plastic protector", sorry can't think of proper name, under the car and I unscrewed it and it doesn't want to come out and hate to bust it...any help would be appreciated...Thanks

It's leaking somewhere under the radiator hose...so guessing it's the lower tranny fitting...is there anything else down there that could be leaking the tranny fluid?

The only thing there is the line. The lower air dam should pull out once you get all the screws and any push pins removed.
