2000 Grand Prix GTP hard start

Hey guys so I just ordered a Bluetooth code reader and am waiting for it to arrive, but in the meantime I would like to ask for opinions on what I can check now and when it arrives. So basically the car has a brand new starter alternator and battery but some times starts hard. ( takes 2-3 seconds) this seems to happen most after sitting for a few hours. Normally it does start right away. The other thing is that upon start up once I start driving I get some sort of whirring wind sound but only for a couple minutes and then its gone. I do get a CEL light but it kinda comes and goes as pleases thus why I'm waiting on the code reader. When it's on it stays on; doesn't flash or anything. I'm thinking some sort of vacuum leak maybe? Fairly new to this so any opinions would be great thanks.

The whirring sounds is likely the ABS module checking itself.

The hard starting could be a clogged fuel filter, bad FP regulator, or a bad pump. You could always bend tab 85 out on the FP relay and lock the pump into high-speed mode.

And since you have a known CEL, find out what the code is and search for it here. You can always have it scanned at a parts store for free to find the code.

Ahh OK never knew the abs module scans itself. Thanks. Cool will have to start there I suppose. And I wish...parts stores here won't do that. :p which is why I'm waiting for mine to come in
