2000 grand prix gt sound system problems

I recently got a 2000 grand prix gt and Ive noticed that the rear speakers do not work. I've tried replacing them but still no luck. Is there any thing else that could be causing this?

I have a aftermarket radio installed but the speakers didn't work before I replaced the radio
 


Do you have a multimeter? Turn up the stereo a bit and see if you're getting any voltage on the wires that go to the rear speakers. I feel it's a cut wire.
 
I have a feeling about that to. How would I bypass something like that. And yes I have a multiple meter I'll test it tomorrow to see what I get
 
I Actually figured it out it was the speakers just a bad set I guess. I tried them in a different car and nothing. So I got a set of Sony xplods. It sounds great now.
