I have a 2000 se and I have started having some issues. I noticed a few months ago, at random times the tranny will shift a little hard. Its not bad but noticeable and it also has a high whine noise when driving. So I stop, turn the car off, wait like 30 seconds or so and the problem is gone after I start it again. But the real problem I just recently noticed was when coming off of a stop, I will be climbing in speed and when it goes to shift from 3rd to 4th, if i'm around 58-60 mph it will go back into 3rd or slip I can't tell. So what I have had to do just to keep it from happening is just shifting manually and just make sure i'm going 62 mph or so before I shift into 4th. Is there any certain thing that may be wrong or is the tranny on its way out? The car has around 125 k on it if that makes any differance.
